Awkwafina
Awkwafina has been described as an American performer and actor who began her career with innovative raps which addressed sexuality and racial identities with an edgy, comical perspective. Her career then grew to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical experience. She was a trumpet player. After classical and Jazz training her interest in hip-hop grew in her teen years. Concentrating on school she majored in journalism and women's studies in college even studying Mandarin in Beijing for a time. She turned her attention to music once she graduated. After gaining viral fame via the Internet, her track My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually appeared on the album she released, Yellow Ranger. On the album, there was other hits that went viral, including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$. This song is directly connected to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. Apart from having a book published, her other career was singing. Aside from early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in films like Neighbors2Storks as well as Bad Rap. In the year 2018 she scored a number of notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released In Fina We Trust.
