Kat Dennings (n e Katherine Victoria Litwack) was born on the 13th day of June, 1986 from Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania. Ellen Dennings was her mother and a speech therapist, as Gerald was the father and was a professor at the college. Dennings was raised in a Jewish family, and was the youngest child. Dennings was only a brief student at the traditional schools and was also educated in a home setting. It was logical for her to homeschool as she wanted to be an actor from an early age. She was able finish her high school education at fourteen years old. As early as nine years old, she was doing commercials on television. When she graduated from high school, she relocated with her family into Los Angeles in order to explore acting. Kat Dennings, as she was then known started auditioning.
