Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18th, 1980)[1] is an American actress and singer from the United States. When she began her acting career as a stage actress at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, Bell made her Broadway stage debut in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Bell also performed in the Broadway revival of The Crucible the year after. She then appeared in the action-thriller film Spartan (2004) and received applause for her performance on the drama on television Gracie's Choice (2004).Her first major role was the title character in the teen noir drama TV series Veronica Mars (2004-2007), getting praise from the critics and winning an Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV for her performance. In the 2014 film she reprised her role as the title character in the reboot of the series in 2019, she reprised her role. During her time in Veronica Mars, Bell starred as Mary Lane in the musical film Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005) which was a reprise of the role she previously played in the New York musical of the similar name.Bell played the role of Elle Bishop in the superhero drama series Heroes from 2007 until in 2008. Bell was the voice of her character, the main narrator of the show for teens called Gossip Girl. She will reprise the role for the sequel in 2021. Bell was also Showtime comedian House of Lies' lead actress, Jeannie van de Hooven. Bell played the lead character in the role of Eleanor Shellstrop on the critically highly acclaimed NBC comedy show The Good Place, receiving a Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance. Bell also played the role of Eleanor Shellstrop in the streaming series The Woman in the Home The Girl in the Window Across the Street Girl in the Window.
